Efter EA’s spekulationer omkring Sonys kommende PS3 og udgivelsen af samme, har Nintendos karismatiske præsident for marketing og salgsafdelingen Reggie Fils-Aime taget bladet fra munden for at fortælle om Nintendos Revolution.
Ifølge rygterne vil Sony sende deres PlayStation 3 på gaden i år 2006 hvilket betyder at firmaet vil fremvise maskinen på næste års E3 messe og herefter gøre klar til en egentlig lancering året efter. Det lader til at Nintendo vil gøre det samme. Reggie Fils-Aime sagde følgende:
"Our focus is this: we will bring Revolution to the marketplace roughly at the same time as the competition. Certainly, our sight is on the number one player in the console space. We are driving our timetables based on what we believe Sony will do. We are driving our software line-up to maximize all the capabilities of Revolution. That's what we're looking to do."
Desuden syntes han at det er en fejl at Microsoft angiveligt vil forsøge at nå markedet først med en ny konsol - altså før Nintendo og Sony.
