God of War er et ganske ambitiøst spil, og alligevel formår det at bryde med mange tendenser som ellers florerer i spilbranchen, såsom mikrotransaktioner. Fans har dog alligevel forventet at ekstra indhold ville blive afsløret, men det er der nu heller ingen planer om.
For nylig deltog instruktør Cory Barlog i et podcast med Kotaku, og her forklarede Barlog, at selvom flere af de verdener som man kan se og vælge via Bifrost i spille er til stede, så kommer de ikke til at blive tilgængelige via fremtidige udvidelser, for det har studiet ingen planer om.
"Here's the thing. The conflict between all this is, there are nine realms, right? Midgard being the base realm, the mid-realm, and then the additional eight realms, and it's very hard to do the visualisation of it without at least acknowledging the other realms. But we really never planned on going to any of those. That was part of the continuation of the story. But we did struggle with figuring out how to indicate to people, because it was weird when they weren't included. Because people kept asking, I thought there were nine? Where are there blank spots here?"
Så noget tyder på at Sony Santa Monica stryger direkte videre til det næste kapitel - efter noget velfortjent ferie naturligvis.
