Selvom langt størstedelen af verdens spiljournalister tryglede det spilkøbende publikum om at gå ud og investere i Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon, så udeblev det store succes for engelske revolution. Det har dog ikke fået udvikleren med Charles Cecil til at opgive deres herlige eventyrserie. Revolution har nemlig netop meddelt at det fjerde kapitel i serien er undervejs og skal udgives af THQ.
Peter Dille, der er senior vice præsident for marketing hos THQ sagde følgende ved annonceringen:

The acquisition of the fourth installment of the Broken Sword franchise is indicative of THQ's underlying philosophy of bringing great games with worldwide appeal to consumers. Revolution Software's latest installment of Broken Sword will help us to grow our global business and realise the potential of the international market, particularly in the European and Asia Pacific territories."
Charles Cecil knyttede også en kommentar til annonceringen og sagde:
"The demand from fans for another game in the Broken Sword series has been overwhelming. Broken Sword had originally been designed as a trilogy with Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon intended as the finale. We were delighted to relent and are very pleased to be working with THQ again to enthrall fans and carry on innovating in the adventure genre."
Broken Sword-serien har som en helhed været en succes med mere end 2.5 millioner solgte spil på verdensplan. Broken Sword 4 er på gaden engang i år 2006.
