Den faste aftale som Activision gennem årevis har haft med Marvel Comics er netop blevet forlænget indtil 2017. Det betyder at spilserier som Spider-Man og X-Men fortsætter en del år endnu.
Den oprindelige aftale ville være udløbet i år 2009, men fordi udgiveren Activision har solgt mere end 25 millioner Marvel-spil over de seneste år, var firmaet ikke bange for at forlænge aftalen - og det er Marvel glade for. Bruno Maglione sagde følgende:
"Spider-Man and X-Men are major global franchises. Because of this, it is always critical for us to partner with companies committed to maximizing success internationally. Activision's results on a worldwide scale with these brands demonstrated to us that they can and will continue to do that."
Activisions CEO Mike Griffith knyttede følgende kommenater til annonceringen:
"This announcement further underscores the strength of our relationship with Marvel and reinforces our leadership position in the superhero genre. This agreement will allow us to continue developing exceptional games based on these legendary characters well into the future."
