Da Niantic Labs for første gang løftede sløret for Pokémon Go, så var drømmen hos de mange interesserede ganske konkret - et Pokémon-spil hvor man udforskede, fangede, byttede og dystede. De to sidste var dog ikke en del af spillet, men sidenhen er bytterier blevet tilføjet, og nu er det blevet tid til at dyste.
Under et interview med polske Gram fortæller Nianctics Anne Beuttenmüller, at en dedikeret PvP-del er på vej, og ankommer inden året er omme.

We've just introduced an improvement so you can add a note to your friend. The point is that you can have many people on your friends list and do not remember who is who. So you can add a comment to that person. You can also segregate your friends list.
We are constantly improving the elements that we have available in the game and the next thing that we want to add at the end of this year is the PvP mode."
