4A Games har været ganske åbne fra start af om, at Metro Exodus er en lidt anden størrelsen end sine forgængere. Selvom spillet ikke præsenterer spilleren for en sandkasse, så er det mere åbent end tidligere, og nu ved vi at det som resultat er en del længere.
I et interview med GamesTM-magasinet (udgave 204) fortæller Deep Silvers brandmanager, Huw Beynon, at Metro Exodus er lige så langt som Metro 2033 og Metro: Last Light til sammen. Faktisk siger han at de har haft svært ved at have spillet på én blu-ray.
"We're looking at a total playtime of both previous games combined. In terms of geographical footprint, as we have moved to these more open areas, we can fit pretty much the entirety of the first two games (in terms of footprint) into just one of our huge levels. The last two games came in at about 12GB each, and we're struggling to fit Metro Exodus onto a single Blu-ray. This is a massive step up for the studio."
Metro Exodus udkommer d. 22 februar, samme dag som Crackdown 3, Days Gone og Anthem.
