Vi har naturligvis allerede fået storstilede remasters af Dark Souls og Dark Souls II, der gør at samtlige spil i serien er tilgængelige på de nye konsoller. Dog forholder det sig sådan, at flere faktisk foretrækker det interessante spil Demon's Souls, der startede det hele for udvikleren FromSoftware.
Netop dette spil er ikke blevet restaureret, og faktisk er online serverne blevet lukket. Men instruktøren på projektet er ganske åben overfor en mulig remaster i fremtiden.
I et interview med Game Informer fortæller instruktør Hidetaka Miyazaki, at hvis det rigtige studie melder sig, så vil de gerne være med.
"If it was a studio that really loved the original work and really put their heart and soul into realizing it again, then that's something I would enjoy. But it's really complicated because I have these fond memories. Thinking about the idea of a remaster gives me kind of butterflies in my stomach and makes me a little nervous, so it's complicated. But I understand there are many users and many players and fans out there who really love Demon's, so if that's something they could accomplish with a studio that loved the work, then yeah, I'd be okay with that."
