For nylig afslørede Deep Silver og Epic Games, at de har indgået en eksklusiv aftale, og at som resultat der vil Metro Exodus kun blive solgt via Epic Games Store. Dette er primært for at give Steam konkurrence, der har siddet som monopol på PC-markedet længe, men det har også gjort mange PC-brugere vrede.
Dog støtter én magtfuld CEO op om Deep Silver, Koch Media og 4A Games' beslutning, nemlig THQ Nordic-chefen Lars Wingefors. I et interview med GamesIndustry fortæller Wingefors, at han støtter op om beslutningen fordi det er et tegn på, at konkurrencen bliver mere mangfoldig på PC-markedet.
"I fully support our sub-groups' autonomy to run their respective businesses. I believe it's in the group's, and ultimately the consumers', best interest that business decisions are made close to the market and this is the group's consistent business model."
