Pokémon Sword/Shield introducerer som bekendt en helt ny region fyldt med nye Pokémon, nemlig Galar, og flere rygter og rapporter har allerede etableret af denne region er kraftigt inspireret af Storbritannien. Dog lader der nu til at være mange der tror på, at Galar ikke er den eneste region spillet har at byde på.
En uhyre detaljeret gennemgang af Pokémon-verdenens historie er blevet lagt op på Reddit, der påstår at udover Galar vil spillet byde på den region der blevet introduceret i Pokémon X/Y, nemlig Kalos.
Forfatteren nævner både en identisk togbane i Galar og i byen Couriway Town i Kalos, en gammel krig og Pokémonen Melmetal som potentielle grunde til at Kalos er en del af spillet. Vi har inkluderet nogle af de i alt 10 grunde herunder.
"Reason 2: As you can see in the map of Galar, there is a railroad system. I think this train goes to Kalos. As you can see in the map of Kalos there is a railroad going in to the mountain in the blue circle. We were never able to see what was the use of that railroad in X and Y. It could lead back to Galar. Also the English Channel runs from UK to France in real life. This train is under water. Kalos and Galar could easily be connected."
"Reason 4: Melmetal. According to his Pokedex entry, he was seen 3000 years ago. Coincidently the Pokemon war in Kalos happened 3000 years ago. And the entry mentions that Melmetal is back for "some reason". He will probably be re-involved with the conflict between Galar and Kalos in Pokemon Sword and Shield."
