Ikke bare vandt instruktør Bong Joon-ho Best Director, hans film vandt også Best Picture, der er første gang nogensinde af en ikke engelsksproget film vinder hovedprisen.
Joaquin Phoenix vandt, som forventet, en Oscar for Best Male Actor for sin rolle i Joker, og Renée Zellweger tog prisen for Best Female Actress for sin rolle i Judy.
