EA har offentliggjort en lang liste over spil, hvis online-servere udgiveren snart vil lukke ned. Det drejer sig primært om ældre EA Sports-spil, men der er også nogle Lord of the Rings-titler og et enkelt Sims-spil på listen.
Ifølge EA udgør spillerne af de pågældende spil omkring 1% af alle dem, der spiller EA-spil online, når det går vildest for sig.
"I modsætning til mange folks indtryk, foregår der meget arbejde bag kulissen for at holde disse spil i luften", lyder det fra EA. "Vi vil hellere have at vores hårdtarbejdende ingeniører og IT-folk fokuserer på at opretholde en positiv oplevelse for de 99% procent af kunderne, der spiller vores mere populære spil".
