Selvom Jim Carrey som detektiv Ace Ventura har mange fans, og blev et slags kulthit i årene efter deres lancering, så er det næppe den filmserie som flest higer efter at se vende tilbage. Men sådan bliver det altså, for Ace Ventura 3 er officielt under udvikling.
I et interview med Park Circus siger produktionsselskabet Morgan Creek, at det er dem der tager sig af projektet, og de har tidligere stået for Sonic the Hedgehog.
"We're pretty excited about our franchise developments with Exorcist and the Ace Ventura franchise - it's noticeable from the 3 million fans chatting on the official Facebook page for Ace Ventura that audiences are clamouring for a 3rd installment. During COVID, audiences have been in love and are thrilled to have beloved characters brought back with new stories. Ace Ventura will see a new day at Amazon as a major motion-picture/theatrical with the Sonic the Hedgehog writers."
Vi går stærkt ud fra at Carrey også vender tilbage.
