Selvom spillet er kendt for at have en af de mest notoriske lanceringer i nyere tid, så endte det faktisk med at Bethesda fik etableret et nogenlunde solidt fundament, hvorpå de kunne introducere mere indhold.
De har allerede udgivet en række større udvidelser til spillet, og nu ved vi at det vil fortsætte igennem 2021. De har, via deres hjemmeside, løftet sløret for det "Road Map", der gør sig gældende for 2021. Her er det planen at introducere en række ændringer, mindre tilføjelser og større udvidelser.

Winter 2021 (Season 7): Tales from the Stars - You're already a legend in the Wasteland but are you truly legendary? Gear up with all new four-star Legendary Weapons and Armor! Then, after you've spent a long day out foraging in the Wasteland, come home to your very own C.A.M.P. Pet!
