Dice og EA har løftet sløret for en del detaljer om det kommende Battlefield 2042, men har dog stadig valgt at gemme afsløringen af en stor spildel til EA Play Live senere på sommeren.
Det er dog ikke en Battle Royale-mode, der i øjeblikket er skjult af EA's kringlende marketingsstrategi.
"We don't have any battle royale plan at this point, but we do have other experiences within the game that we can't talk about which we are super excited for," fortæller spillets design director, Daniel Berlin, til Eurogamer.
Battlefield 2042 har heller ingen singleplayer-kampagne, men Daniel Berlin fortæller videre til Eurogamer, at der stadig ville være en vis form for narrativ:
"You still have a narrative driven world, that's something that you will see through the eyes of the specialists that we're introducing. As we go through the live service, and the seasons, we'll introduce new specialists, and you'll see how the world evolves through the eyes of the specialists that we have."
Hvad Battlefield 2042 dog har, er massive kort med op til 128 spillere, hvilket indtil videre er spillets største selling points.
