Lige meget hvad Abandoned eneder med at være, om det virkelig er et stort nummer, eller bare et indie-gyserspil der har udnyttet rampelyset, så er én ting sikkert; selv de mest konspirationslystne fans er ved at være trætte.
Det har så sandelig ikke hjulpet at den Realtime Experience-applikation på PlayStation 5, der endelig skulle have kastet yderligere lys på spillet, er blevet forsinket på ubestemt tid.
I endnu en undskyldning på Twitter forsikrer Blue Box fans om, at de er "100% real":
"We ask everyone to calmly wait for the patch. We understand your frustration. We are 100% real and are working on a passionate game we believe in. This is what happend: We dealt with multiple engine issues that occured last minute after we spotted a graphical glitch. For that we wanted to do a quick update. We are almost there as most of the testing is completed. We would like to thank you again for the patience and apologize for the inconvenience."
