Redfall har chokeret mange, og har desuden også skabt en ret central bekymring for Starfield, både i forhold til spillets generelle kvalitet, men også dets tekniske tilstand ved lanceringen. Phil Spencer siger dog, at Xbox-holdet har været meget mere end over det her spil, end de har med Redfall.
For nylig var han med i Kinda Funny Xcast (hvor han siger en helt masse spændende om Xbox' rolle fremadrettet), og her slår han fast at de har været mere "hands-on" med Starfield fra Xbox' side:
"When we acquire studios, there are games that are in development, and then there's things that are either really early in development or not even conceived yet. I think we need to improve in engaging with games that are mid-way through production when they become part of Xbox. We didn't do a good job early on in engaging Arkane Austin to really help them understand what it meant to be part of Xbox and part of first-party, and use some of our internal resources to help them move along that journey even faster. We left them to work on the game..."
Det er så naturligvis ærgerligt at Arkane tilfældigvis skulle lave deres første rigtige fuser, netop om de blev et førstepartsstudie (bortset fra de to Wolfenstein spin-offs de hjalp til på).
