Vi talte med produkt manager Annette Gonzalez ved Harmonix' stand ved PAX East for at høre mere om Amplitude. Vi talte om Kickstarter kampagnen, support fra fans, og om de udfordringer det har betydet.
"It's full of really awesome music," siger Gonzalez. "Has a really neat sort of concept album feel in the singleplayer campaign to sort of guide you through a narrative and then explain the world around you. And then we'll have quick play and multiplayer features. Teamplay which is what's playing behind us where you can do 2v2 or 3v1 if you have one exceptionally good player and three not so great players you just kind of gang up on that person. We like to do that with our creative lead (Ryan Lesser) right now. He's obviously very good at the game and it takes three of us to try and beat him and we still can't."
"[Amplitude] was definitely the foundation of some of our later games, [...] Sometimes we get younger people coming up passed the booth and they're like: 'uhh, that looks like Guitar Hero'. And it's like well, guess what we made the first two and this came before that. So it's sort of like an interesting education process for people who didn't realise this."
Amplitude er sat til at udkomme til sommer som digital download til PS3 og PS4 ($20).
