Den nye Nintendo-boss Tatsumi Kimishima er ikke synderligt begejstret for den måde som forbrugerne bruger Amiibo-figurer på, for det er ikke sådan Nintendo synes at de skal bruges:
"Our earliest goal for the Amiibo was to have these connected to software and have them enhance the play experience for the consumer. [...] What we're seeing instead is that the Amiibo are being picked up more as a collection item at this point, rather than, say, as an interactive item with software. And so we haven't really established them as an enhancement for all of our software at this point" fortalte han til Time Magazine.
Nu hvor figurene er ret smukt designet, har vi ikke noget imod at de hovedsageligt står på hylden og tager sig godt ud. Der er trods alt ikke megen software der benytter figurerne på en interessant måde. Hvad siger i?
